Tesly was caught completely off guard when rainclouds quickly swept across the skies. The winds became faster and suddenly everything was cooler. That morning, Tesly had made the mistake of trusting the clear blue skies and decently warm weather when she chose her outfit, and a skirt and tee shirt were practically useless in the approaching weather unless you're intentionally trying to look like Marilyn Monroe. So rationally, as she stood in the middle of the camp and looked out towards the east, witnessing a sudden wall of downpour approaching her, she instantly retreated back to her cabin. She had gotten about thirty feet from the door before she was caught in the midst of rain and high winds, making her just damp enough to need a change of clothes and catch a slight chill. Tesly admired rain for the refreshing smell that it brought with it, but found it quite irritating in situations like this.
Tesly let out a long sigh, shutting the door behind her and removing her large, military green tote bag. Chucking it on the bench in the entryway, she wound up distracted by the inscriptions in all of the brick constructing her cabin. Typically when people think of a cabin, they think of a little log house in the woods. This seemed much more luxurious, almost monumental. Everything that Tesly had taken in since she had arrived still felt so surreal; it was all so humbling.
Flicking on the light to her room, Tesly opened her suitcase, reminding herself that she still needed to actually unpack, and grabbed a large sweater and a new pair of jeans to put on. Just as she pulled her shirt midway over her face, everything went pitch black. All of the power in her cabin had appeared to gone out due to the storm, and naturally Tesly jumped as she lost vision. In the middle of her sudden panic she managed to catch the neck hole of her shirt on her chin, and in the midst of her flailing, stubbed her tow on the foot of her bed frame, only to fall forward and land flat on her face. The floor had robbed her of her breath for a moment.
"Owe!" Tesly shouted, grabbing her shirt and fully removing it, "Damnit."
She lifted herself half way off the floor before rolling over and remaining on her back for a few minutes, regaining her breath and realizing how completely useless she is without her eyesight, as she was still so unfamiliar with her surroundings. She groaned for a second, sitting up. Tesly extended both of her arms out, attempting to locate some bearings. She grasped her bed and found her new shirt, sitting back down she put it on and decided that for the sake of her wellbeing, she would remain sitting against her bed until the power was restored.

All day long the daughter of Hecate had been avoiding her dear friend by any means that she could find. She hid behind as many buildings and objects as she could. She hid in the forest, hell at one point she had managed to make her invisible for a short period of time. The whole thing was mentally exhausting Sian Campbell. She didn't have the best grip on her magical abilities. At times she liked a pro and other times it was like she was a student at Hogwarts that was just learning their first Charms lesson.
The best place for her was her comfy bed in her cabin, where she could lie down and sleep for as long as she wanted to. That's what she had been doing ever since she dug herself into a depression, just laying in her bed and sleeping. Sure Nicky had tried to get her out, which she only stayed out of for a few hours.
Reaching her cabin, Sian walked carefully. However had the bright idea to make the rocks either explode or turn people into tress did not have a bright idea there. Surely it could have been something else. Like send people flying through in the air about fifty feet or so. Who would want to be turned into a tree anyways?
Pushing the door open and to only see just pitch black, Sian blinked, making sure that her eyes were really open. "Oh wow" she mumbled to herself as she kept one hand on the wall as a security measure. Hearing somebody shout, she jumped almost ten in the air, thinking that she was alone. Holding her free hand up, she watched as a small light began to emit around it. "Hello?" she called out, hoping that the person/her sibling could see the light. "Any idea on what happened?"

Tesly found that it was very clear, over the past five minutes, that the absence of light rendered her completely useless. She let her head fall back, resting it against her bed as it throbbed incessantly. Licking her lips, the strong taste of metal overwhelmed her mouth. She sighed, rolling her eyes to only herself in the dark, as she replayed her clumsy fall that exhibited her complete and total lack of coordination. She was, however, thankful that she was the only real witness to it. Due to her face being numb from the introduction it had made with her floor, she was unable to tell exactly where she was bleeding from. Her hand slowly rose to her head, where she began to perform a blind inspection of herself. She started with her chin, finding that it seemed to all still remain there without any gashes. She then went to her mouth where she initially tasted blood, and there was no stinging, although she could feel some kind of liquid, though she couldn't tell whether it was saliva or blood. Her hand made it's way up to her nose, where she then felt a stream of blood that had obviously made its way down her whole entire face, potentially clothes, and maybe even the floor. Stress set in and she cradled her forehead in her hands, only to find that she had dragged blood all the way up her face now, too.
Noting that she probably looked like a serial killer now, Tesly groaned, pulling her knees up to her chest. There she was, covered in blood and now sitting in a full-on fetal position. "Goodness, I don't look pathetic at all, do I?" She whispered quietly to herself. Truly, though, what she feared most at that moment was that her nose was broken and that she would have to live, for the rest of her life, with some twisted nose. She could only imagine the comments she would receive, they would be harsh, no doubt, something like 'Hey, we never knew your nose was a contortionist.' The thought made her cringe, sending shivers down her spine. Giving up, she let her head drop to her knees.
"Hello?" Tesly heard, her head lifting from her knees as she noticed a faint light reaching the door of her room. "Any idea on what happened here?" Tesly paused for a moment, working up the nerve to lift herself from the ground.
Once up, she let out a faint laugh, feeling slightly dizzy and light-headed. "Well," she began by calling out, "you might assume this is the doing of Freddy Kruger," she stopped, walking towards the entrance to her room toward the light, "but I can assure you that it was a mutual effort between the storm and my complete and utter lack of coordination." She finished, a half smile lingering on her face.
Tesly's eyes were drawn to a girl who was not holding a flashlight as she had assumed, but instead her hand was glowing. It took Tesly a moment to wrap her head around what exactly was going on here, her mind swirling. She quickly considered a spectrum of ideas; ranging from this being her death, and that being the light, to breaking open glow sticks and dumping them on extremities, to coming to the conclusion that this girl was, indeed, using magic. She took a moment to remind herself that logic didn't seem like the best route to take anymore. She resided at Camp Half Blood now, and she would be best off to attribute her opinions to what most ordinary people would call myth, imagination, and folklore.
Tesly scratched her forehead for a moment, "How do you do that?" she asked, gesturing toward the light being expelled from the girls hand. "Oh, I'm Tesly, by the way." She added, extending her hand out for a formal handshake, only to quickly retract it once she was reminded of the blood residing on it. "Sorry, I'm a little bit of a mess right now."

With her free hand still against the wall of the cabin, Sian followed the voice that spoke back to her. Surely with what had happened, the person could explain it to her. It looked like a bomb had gone off in their cabin and she was sure that Lou Ellen would be pissed once she saw it. She just hoped that Lou Ellen wouldn't make anything else explode.
"Oh my gods" Sian mumbled as she continued to look around the cabin and brushed some of her hair out of her face. Looking over at the new person, she paused at the girl. Was this girl a new sibling? She could not recall. She had been spending all of her time in her room, closing herself off from the world, she had seemed to miss a lot social wise and what not.
Seeing blood on the girl, Sian walked closer to her. When it came to healing people with magic, she always let somebody else do it. She was horrible at it. "Well Tesly, I'm Sian by the way" and smiled at her. "So you said a storm did this? Do you mean an actual storm came in here and hit this place?" she asked, not sounding too startled by the idea. Worse had happened in their cabin. She remembered accidentally starting a fire on her bed one year.
Looking over at her hand, Sian shrugged her shoulders at her question. For her it was hard to explain magic. "Uh well I saw it was dark and just sort of needed some light." she said, trying to find a way to actually describe it. "I figured if I use my hand as a torch or a flashlight it would work. But if you mean how my hand actually has light coming from it, well I guess it's because of my mom Hecate then."
