Rain. It was peaceful and perfect. The music the drops created as they fell was beautiful to the son of tlaloc. Niklaus had laid under a tree all afternoon at the camp border. He didn't plan to return home yet, even as the sun started to set. He would sleep outside if he had to. The canopy of the trees covered him from most of the raindrops, so he wasn't completely soaked, but he was wet and that was something he didn't mind at all.
He had long since closed his book and tucked it into the safety of his bag. He enjoyed laying out in the rain. It was a form of meditation for him. He wondered how the camp was fairing. Most would find shelter, Nik was generally the only crazy one to actually lounge around outside while the rain fell. He would only seek shelter when the rain stopped and the sun decided to show itself.
Niklaus held his hand out as the last raindrops of the storm fell. The storm was passing. Nik wasn't too pleased by this fact, but it had rained long enough. It couldn't rain forever, no matter how much Klaus may want it to. He closed his hand around the final drop before he sat up. His eyes scanned the area before the young demigod stood. He quickly dusted his pants off, it was probably about time to head back. He wasn't sure if he truly wanted to, now that the storm was over, the streets would be crowded once again. He never did do well with crowds.
Nik picked up his bag and pulled the strap over his head, securing the bag to his body as he fixed his jacket.
"Oh well. Have to head back eventually." Klaus pulled at the edge of one of his favorite shirts before starting to walk through the forest that surrounded the camp. He picked up a stick on his way and dragged it along the ground. The serene atmosphere put Nik in a rather cheerful mood and instead of heading back to camp like he should have been, he started to draw into the mud with the stick. He didn't know what he was drawing or what he was doing, but he was having fun.
