Aly laughed softly at a joke one of the Athena girl's jokes and gave the girl a soft nudge with her elbow. The Athena cabin and the minor Gods cabin were have a special class in the stables today. One of the female Pegasus gave birth last week to an absolutely adorable foal. An older child of Athena - who happened to live on a farm all her life - was teaching them how to take care of the foal. Aly was quickly taken by the baby animal and she spent the entire class listening intently to the teacher explain how to care for it.
As the rest of the class moved on to actually riding the adult Pegasi, Aly lingered by the young foal and it's mother. The foal had finished feeding from its mother and was now looking curiously at Aly. She could help but smile at the adorable sight but made no move to reach out to the foal, especially with the mother watching her so carefully.
Her eyes darted over to the rest of the class who were all saddling up their Pegasus ready to practice but Aly couldn't bring herself to join them. She waved the questioning looks the other campers threw her and simply shook her head slightly. Alyanna had been feeling very off-kilter lately. It was like an unplaceable feeling of something wrong. She had learned to associate the feeling of the world's harmony being imbalanced, but never before had it felt this strong. Even the softest of energies were singing with discontent and thrummed with the chaos that seemed to have invaded the earth seemingly over night.
Aly began to blame it on the impending war between the Pantheons. First the Romans and now whispers of Egyptians? It made her wonder just how the Gods all got along with the other mythologies. She shuddered slightly at the thought. It was hard enough trying to keep their heads with the Greek Gods' out-of-date rules and way of culture, imagine multiplying that by three?
